He is one of the most hated and at the same time most admired beasts in the world. The natives of North America, but also the Germanic and Slavic peoples in Europe, respected and worshiped wolves. However, with the development of Western civilization, humans began to chase wolves like no other beast. Gradually, these intelligent and timid animals fell victim to superstition by the bloodthirsty beast. Originally, the wolf lived in almost all of Eurasia and North America, from the northern tundra to the southern hemisphere. Now, however, its premises have been substantially reduced as a result of the persecution. Wolves live and hunt in packs. Their food is mainly deer and wild pigs, to a lesser extent also roe deer and other smaller animals. Occasionally, they also hunt sheep if they are not sufficiently secured. According to the Nature and Landscape Protection Act, the wolf is a protected species and is classified as critically endangered.
