Description
Navarre had been summoned to the bridge by the automated sensor system. Taking the central seat at the helm control, he stared up at the main viewer.
Still at a great distance from his position, but knowing that he was already an active target on their sensor grids.
This was a relatively small system, yet contained four stations, which was an oddity in itself, though one of those stations was a prison facility.
He keyed in the communications system.
"This is commercial freighter Orpheus enroute from the fringe regions requesting approached and station clearance." He announced, and then settled back and waited. It took several minutes, of which he was certain that were for sensor scans of his ship.
"Orpheus," The voice was crisp and clear over the audio system he had recently repaired. "You are cleared for approach and parking position on heading 224 9. maintain to grid indicator forty seven and then hold. Station administration will then make contact to verify you clearances."
"Thank you." He switched the comms off. On the outer edge of the screen, he watched as a Federation Destroyer soared into view as it approached the station.
"Nice." He cringed. He had been taught how powerful and deadly these types of Destroyers were, but it was obvious to him that they weren't nearly as elegant, graceful or durable as a Klingon Destroyer. "Klingon at heart." He chuckled as he remembered the description. He was going to have to work on changing his thinking process. He was in their world now; the places of humans and their allies. His Klingon upbringing could cause some conflicts and complications that he certainly did not need right now.
