Description
Finally did a Holiday render before the holiday was past.
I wanted him to hold a box of chocolates in the shape of a heart. But alas, I didn't have one. The Lovey bear was the best thing I had in my vast library to work with. Or I could have used a heart shaped cookie. I had several of those. But I didn't think it would be the right effect.
The Lovey Bear proved to be the bear from hell. I started out using the new rig. I figured it would be better because it was newer. I tried using a pose to start and then I made corrections. But every time I moved him or rotated him, he would return to the original pose. Very frustrating. Never had a product like that before. I finally deleted him and load the original lovey bear. Progress.
The expressions for 8.1 don't seem to work that well to me. Or maybe you can't see the nuances until you render. But I learned about the face rig and powerpose and puppeteer and how you can combine the face rig poses and puppeter. I'll definitely be doing more of that. So this was the result of my first time using the face rig. Maybe you need to add it when the figure is in the default pose. I'm not sure. I had to move it around. And I didn't know you had to hide it before you render, but it appears you do. But finally I can get some better expressions.

Really well done. I'd be interested to hear about what you are learning about expressions. For any 8.1 work they are a challenge for sure. Lovely work here,
