"You might say I'm a dreamer"
I have loved photography since I was a child and also love graphic art (I am the kind of person that WILL buy a book or CD for its cover) but sadly I only became aware of 3D art after crossing paths with Dragonluna. I immediately fell in love with her work and after a while decided to give it try, mostly because I wanted to make pics to go along with a fanfic I was writing. I am neither a writer nor a 3D artist, I just like to daydream and have ideas and fantasies, and I love anything that has to do with visual art. I am still very limited with the program and have loads to learn and I am also quite fearful of posting my pics considering the high quality of the renders on this site, but I guess we all have to start somewhere and this is where I start, sharing my fantasies with you. Thank you for the taking the time to look at my work. :)

All your hard work paid off b/c this turned out so well! She's very cute, esp. with the gap between her teeth and her tinted sunglasses, and her pose and outfit are hippie-perfect (right down to the clogs, although maybe not the high heel part of them!) I'm so glad Cassie was able to help you with the mysteriously untying knot! I've used the cloth room more for other kinds of cloth than for clothing, and there's a lot to learn. The big drawback to dynamic clothing, for me, is that I'm always tweaking poses, based on various other elements of a scene as I'm working on it, and it's such a pain to have to run the dynamic simulation over and over again! But a big advantage is that you can use clothing made for other figures, as you did here! Awesome :-)
BTW, you can export clothing and hair out of DAZ Studio into CR2 format. But if what you're wanting is a prop for use in the cloth room, then an OBJ export is the way to go. I tend to do these exports in batches, so that the process gets streamlined as I go, but it's definitely rather tedious! I use a Mac and don't yet have Poser 12, but it's too bad that script won't work on a Mac :-(

Thank you so much for your detailed response, I really appreciate the feedback! And I'm so sorry for the delayed reply, this has been a hectic week and I don't like rushing when I respond to comments. I am so glad you liked her (little gap and all, I seem to love characters that have teeth gaps, lol). Regarding the clogs, it was hard to find the exact style I needed, and I have to say that goes for a lot of the hippie stuff that is available. As for the dynamic clothing, I am exactly the same with the poses! I often try different poses, and even if I do decide on one pose, I end up tweaking it constantly. That is indeed one of the biggest drawbacks of dynamic clothing. Also, if you are doing a portrait it's one thing, if you are doing a bigger scene where you have the character sitting in a different part of the room it's another. I guess as with all things practice makes perfect, so I will just keep trying and trying til it becomes easier.
The most annoying thing for me when it comes to exporting obj's or other files is that I have Daz on a different computer so I have to put the files on a pen drive, turn on other computer, etc etc. I can't remember why but I had issues installing Daz on the new computer with Poser 12 and I actually prefer keeping this one rather light anyways since it's my work computer. But yeah, Ken's scripts are pretty amazing and it really sucks that they won't work on Mac. :(

Oh, this came out absolutely fantastic!
The thing with dynamic clothes is that it can be a regular pain but the feeling when it just come together and leave you with realistic clothes... Indescribable 😁
RubyTuesday70
Thank you!!! You are so right about the way the clothing looks! But I am lucky that you are there to help me when I have trouble or I would give up so easily, lol!!

Heh. Takes me back to High School and early college years.
I feel your pain with dynamic clothing. It looks so good when it works but I haven't figured out a decent work flow for it yet. This final product is worth the work, though. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much for stopping by Mollz! I struggle so much with dynamic clothing, sometimes I get it right on the first try, other times I just want to throw something at the screen, lol. It doesn't help that I was working with converted clothing here (although there have been times where I had no issues with converted items). One thing is certain, you can't always get away with a few basic clicks, sometimes you need to delve deeper in the more complicated functions. That is where Cassie comes in, lol!!! (She is so much more patient than I am!)

Bella immagine: Pace e Amore, che tutto ciò di cui abbiamo bisogno, niente più guerre, ne avevamo già tanto in passato!
