When I was a little girl, I could see Dragons. That's how I chose my name here at Renderosity. (Sometimes I can still see them.)
I have been an artist and a writer all my life - and have worked in acrylic on canvas as well as watercolor. I was best known for my watercolors of dream creatures - especially for my Dream Birds. Lots of my art and writing has been found in dreams.
In May of 2000, I did my first 3D picture on the computer. And I was hooked.
My Underground Shaman series - takes off where my 2D work left off. The faces of animals, human, and not-so-human always fascinate me and I like to use them as stylized motifs to create mandalas full of textures, patterns, colors and emotions.
With the internet, I discovered, that while some people make art to look at, I like to make art that looks at YOU! :-)
The Underground Shamans are Wise Ones from many worlds, realms, and dimensions. In mid-2002 the Dragon Fae also began appearing to humans - they are an interesting race, well-traveled, and good talkers.
My computer and software are now ancient, but they and my imagination are still working at the moment - more or less (as of August 2021)

simply a feast for the eyes... the colouring is wonderful, but i think my favourite bits are the small intricate designs on the neck[s] & lower beak[s] - my eyes just keeping tracing and scanning these areas. quite exceptional [work] and rather strangely evocative for me...

Dinoraul has passed? I am so sorry to hear that. I didn’t realize that when I made this post. That is a terrible loss to our community.

This is absolutely delightful and a wonderful remembrance of an amazing artist. May he rest in peace.

omg, I didn't realize he passed...very sad, and it makes your dedi all the more moving. His birds are wonderfully expressive, big, bold, poignant. You did a great job celebrating 3 of them here. I love how you colored them, including those great necks (a whole story in each of those necks!). And the contrasts from bright to dark, here, are terrific---in the beaks alone, but also in their heads against that tiled, almost 'Tiffany' sky. You work with DDG really well, you mold it and shape it to suit your image. The trees or bushes are like electrical underwater plants....and the sky is a wonderful burst of tiny reflective tiles, with mirror-like surfaces. This has real exuberance and life, like mythic creatures against a mythic night sky. Terrific work, and a wonderful dedi to a sadly passed artist. My sympathies to all who knew and loved him.

I think this is my favorite....this one and the elephants....and the shamans....okay, they're all so good. I think DDG gave it a colorful look that it's hard to achieve in straight Poser or DAZ Studion renders. I love it!!!!
