Description
Now this is what Utla likes to see: an apprentice who’s still hard at work, even as the sun is rising!
==AMY’S NOTES==
Yet another view of Faveral’s amazing set, and I haven’t even covered all the angles yet! As much as I love doing night time scenes, for this one I wanted a bit of sun coming in through the window.
Rendered in February 2022 using Firefly in Poser Pro 11 for Mac at 3200 × 1800 pixels. View full size on my blog.
==CREDITS==
SCENE: Opus Magnum by Faveral.
CHARACTER: Puntik Kaalkopje by Nursoda.

Beautiful! So many details in that room and that pose on the figure is perfect. Love the light coming in through the window :)
perpetualrevision
Thank you! The credit for the details goes to Faveral, although I did move some things around and change some materials for this scene. Trying to get light to come through a window so that it shows the window-frame pattern on a nearby surface is something I still struggle with, and that was the part that took ages (and lots of test renders) with this scene! The rest was easy b/c Puntik just walked over there and started chopping :-)

A lovely scene -and setting.

I'm with Kelcrhis3: the light from the window is GREAT! I've enjoyed this whole apprentice series and love the different angles you've been using. I look forward to any other inspirations you get from this fine content! Thank you for sharing your work!

Thank you, Molly! I love it when renders show sunlight coming through a window (and falling onto a nearby surface), but no matter how many times I reposition an infinite light sun, I sometimes find it a hard look to achieve. Possibly b/c I only ever rotate the infinite light on the x and y axes, since the z axis messes with my mind. But maybe that's where the magic lies! :-)
CoolDimension
Excellent posing and lighting! Looks very real! Great fantasy quality!
perpetualrevision
Thank you so much, CoolDimension! I'm much better at lighting indoor scenes set at night time, so this one presented a bit of a challenge for me, but I think it worked out well, AND I learned a thing or two about getting light to come in through a window!

Super cute!!!
i worry about a shovel at the sink.... but super cute!
perpetualrevision
Thanks for the comment! The prop is labeled as a "chopper," so I tried to set up Puntik to look like he's chopping whatever's on the cutting board, but from this angle is does look like a shovel! Oops! Maybe it's a multi-purpose tool :-)

Great image full of detail!

Wonderful setting. Beautiful job

Thank you so much for the comment! A lot of the credit goes to Faveral, but I did have fun figuring out how to do this lighting! And of course I always love using Puntik :-)

This is what you call dedication! What a fantastic, well-done series!
perpetualrevision
Thank you, Flint_Hawk! You might certainly call it dedication on Puntik's part. You might also call it, "Amy forgot to turn off the candle and had to find a way to explain why a candle would still be lit when it's daytime outside"! Thus, it must be early morning :-)
Radar_rad-dude
Gotta give this apprentice credit! He seems to be out to impress the boss! Well done work!
perpetualrevision
Thanks for the comment! I think this apprentice might be angling for a fun time assistant position, once his apprenticeship is up :-) At least he's never dropped the skunk juice!

Très bel éclairage et rendu en Firefly, J'aime beaucoup ce mariage de marron. Bravo

Nursoda really makes some cute alien like creatures and your render is outstanding
perpetualrevision
Thank you so much! I think Puntik is some kind of woodland creature, like out of a fairy tale or fantasy, but he could probably get an acting gig as an alien with a different wardrobe!
