As a boy I wandered field and mountain, desert and ocean, forest and the icy reaches at the top and bottom of our world, and each place I found was another mystery waiting for me to discover. One day I found a silver doorway set into the side of a tall mountain. There were such detailed carvings of moons and planets and stars and all those things beyond our own small planet that I pulled the door open without hesitation, and within was the infinite apeirogon. I traveled the apeirogon on the back of a moonbeam I had rescued from the Land of Shadows. In time, I came to the Crystal Universe, and there I live to this day, writing of all I have seen.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. You gave Sam an excellent life. It's hard. Peace.

Oh, noooo! this must be truly awful, when your beloved pet dies, while you are in Hospital and couldn't be with him in hi last hours. It really hurt's me to read this. I had to be witness of many of my pets going over the bridge and it was emotionally terrible, but I couldn't let them alone in their last breath and in their last heart beat. So it hurts me to read, that you where there for him 24/7 and now that you had to go to hospital, he died alone... I wish you lot's of strength and comfort.

ditto FurNose and everyone else...I'm terribly sorry, I stopped in my tracks when I saw this: I'm so sorry, Bob. I'm sorry for Sam, and I'm sorry that you couldn't be with him in the end. My deepest condolences, I know that dogs and cats are family, they're siblings and children and even parents (in how they protect us). I'm so sorry you lost such a dear friend and sibling. I wish you much comfort, and I hope you get better soon...much light to Sam and much healing to you. Here's to your 100% healing.

I feel your pain. We lost one of our cats 3 months ago from lymphoma cancer in the throat. My heart pain is still with me after all that time. Yet, we must go on and fond memories will soon replace that pain. You will see Sam again. Unlike us, animals have always been in complete obedience to God's laws. Love never dies, it carries over into eternity from where it started, with Yahweh Elohim, the Lord God.

These times seem to be filled with sadness unending. My deepest condolences to you in the loss of your beautiful friend, Wolf. He's in a far better place now; a place free of disease, war, suffering, pain, and heartache. He will be there to greet you someday. I hope your healing is quick and complete, although I know your heart will take a little longer to mend.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, my friend.

My heart is breaking for you. There is nothing like losing a friend like Sam and nothing that anyone can really say either. But I'm so sorry.

I feel some of you loss but it is unique for each one of us how we survive a shock like this. And, I believe, no matter how prepared you are, when someone you love does finally cross the rainbow bridge, it is still a shock, at least to the heart! And my heart goes out to you, Wolfe. Not being able to be there to comfort your dear friend in the final moments before the crossing. I'm so very sorry for you loss and I am glad you still have someone still there to help you deal with it! Take care my friend! Many the cosmos send you comfort and support. I recently saw a video on youtube about a guy that had a near death experience. He said that while he was over there, he entered a gorgeous area with the most beautiful landscape. And all the animals of the world that pass over go there to wait and play with each other until we can come there to be with them again. Hope that helps.

What a lovely animal. How very sad that you couldn't see him through to his final resting place. I'm still recovering from the loss of our own dog even though we have another puppy now. I feel for you Sir!
