Description

"The last owner threatened to slam me out an airlock with the rest of the garbage." She slumped even farther in her chair. "That was when the Slavers purchased me." "At the station?" "Yes. I was so afraid. There was a man there that kept watching me." She shuddered involuntarily. "You're safe now." Navarre clenched his fists, he could feel his growing anger. He had to pull them both out of this conversation quickly. "And you're free." "Free?" Her head popped up suddenly. "You're not going to keep me?" "I thought I had made that clear." Navarre spun around. "You are now a free member of my crew, not my slave." He forced a grin to his lips. "Besides, I'm not really into blue." "You're a strange man." She tilted her head curiously. "So what am I to do as a member of your crew?"
