Mavka the Frost Fairy also wanted to stop by!
==AMY’S NOTES==
I had an even harder time finding a background for a portrait of the Mavka fairy I first set up for A Frost Fairy’s Work is Never Done, so I ended up using something simple in hopes that Painnt would make something interesting out of it, and it sorta did. Some of what I loved about the materials for the dress and wings got lost in the process, but I’ll live :-) (I put the original render on my blog post, if you want to compare.)

Thank you! I love Mavka and would like to use her more often. And now that I've gotten this frost fairy portrait out of my brain, I can finally put her in other outfits! :-)

Thank you, Molly! I think "storybook illustration" is probably the best way to describe the kind of art effects I tend to choose from Painnt. They're not emulating any kind of real world media, the way some art effects apps do, but the results do look more like illustrations than, say, paintings. Whatever it's doing, I like it!

Thank you, uncollared! One of the things I struggled with was getting her wings to show up nicely against the background, and I think what Painnt did with the sky colors (and the wings) really helped with that!

Thank you, poser4me! While I'm tempted to apply art effects to all my renders, I don't want to overdo it (esp. since I also like what Poser can produce on its own). But I'm glad to hear that this time the effect seems well suited to the subject!
