when I was young every single engine plane must have been a Piper Cub. I have rode twice single planes. they tend to rock and roll in strong winds, but are fun

A splendid photo of this fine old plane! Several of our neighbors on the farm had Piper Cubs! They learned flying in WWII and when they came home still had the flying bug so that was what they could afford! By the time I grew up, most of them had lost interest in flying so their planes just sat in the hangars they built for them gathering dust! Sad endings.

I was actually taking flight lessons for a while when I was in the Air Force. They offered lessons at the base Aero Club, and used these as the trainers. They are fun to fly!
