Description
Also known as Enfants Perdus (Lost Children) are soldiers chosen to take the vanguard in a military operation. Like in the movie "Suicide Squad" a forlorn hope comprised of volunteers and past criminals. Today's criminals facing incarceration may be given a choice to go to jail or serve their country in valor just like many in Forlorn Hope. In a chess reference, they would be the equivalent of a pawn
