Description
Late in the Federation-Klingon War, the Klingons would discover that their plans, so carefully laid had severly miscaculated the Federations building efforts.
Gone were the primitive planetary designs such as the Nimitz and Hoover whose computer systems were easily hacked, instead the mighty Miranda, Constitution, Federation, Saladin and a dozen other such designs made with input from all members had come with their primitive looking but powerful Duotronic systems.
While some could be overwhelmed, the ease of their build and repairability allowing even green crews a better chance at survival than on their overly specialized vessels.
Task Force Cygnus, comprising of the Federation (NCC-2120), Hull (NCC-945), Carmen (NCC-1909), Reliant (NCC-1864), and Yi Sun-Shin (NCC-1745) would be the Klingons first introduction to how outclassed they had become.
Arriving over the occupied planet of Ajilon Prime, they quickly vanquished the defense station and ran rings around the defense fleet. The primitive Klingon cloaks proved no hope as the Sun-Shin revealed its role as its sensitive sensors spotted cloaked vessels allowing rest of the task force to destroy the assaulters.
Two Mo'kai D7s arrived on the scene and gathered the defense fleet around it before rushing the Federation.
This was when Hull revealed her weapon suites had been replaced with battleship grade weapons allowing her to assist the Federation in destroying a D7 and blasting the others warp coils while the rest of the fleet held off the D4s to D5s of the Defense fleet.
The Klingon Commander of the defense fleet, a Duras family member who held no love for the Mo'Kai, fired on the last D7 as the Sun-Shin and Carmen came close in pursuit of the remaining ships.
Both the Miranda and Constitution were damaged and the Federation Commander, learning more Klingon vessels were arriving, left in good order only having taking 100 wounded in return for nearly 1500 Klingons dead and 1200 wounded.
Klingon Intelligence was relieved when the war ended a week later after learning that the Federation 'New Fleet' was approaching completion.
