Description
The Switchblade drone has been around for awhile and is in use by US forces.
It is manufactured by AeroVironment and the Version 300 is able to be carried in a backpack.
The drone weighs 12kg (5.4 lb) and the launcher is about half the weight and the model 300 is
mainly used against non-armoured vehicles or personnel.
The thin fin blades deploy like a Swiss army opening or a switchblade knife.
Not shown is the Switchblade with it's fins fully deployed. Maybe next time.
