Description
This was somewhat of a learning adventure. I wanted to use the shirt which was a prop, so I had to simulate. But it was too long since I did it last so I couldn't recall all the steps so I had to watch a video. Then I wanted water. But I couldn't find a water material, so I searched on how to make it. Then I decided to use EZDome for the first time, so I watched a video and printed and read the manual. During that time, I saved and closed my machine and took a break. When I came back, I re-opened the scene. At first I thought I had lost most of what I had done. But then I remembered I had to position the timeline to the end (because of the shirt simulation.) Then I sent up the EZDome. It was pretty easy. Then I tried a spot render to see if the water looked OK. It did not. I went to the materail room and found that for some reason Poser had not saved the modifications I had made to the shader. I recreated it and then I ended up with this render.
Anyone have any idea why Poser would not have save the material changes. I saved the scene and re-opened and this time, the changes were there.

Oooh, this makes me want to go dip my toes in a lake! All the more b/c it got kinda hot today!
I've definitely had that issue of re-opening a scene and being dismayed to find that everything is in disarray... only to remember that the scene had dynamic clothes in it, so I need to go to frame 30 to see everything in the right place! As for the water material not saving, I have no clue as I've never had that happen. When I come up with a shader I particularly like, I usually save it to the Materials library as a single material, so I can re-use it on other items later. I'd be bummed if I put a lot of work into a shader that seemed to disappear, so I'm glad you persisted!

I can only say that there are gremlins loose in Poser sometimes! For the most part, they leave my stuff alone. But just when you think you are safe, they pop out of nowhere and strike! That is the extent of my knowledge as to why you had that problem with your water! This really turned out fantastic, my friend! Your studying really paid huge dividends for this image! Many fine kudos and praises from me!

This is wonderfully done with Poser. ...and you learned a lot. Both are wonderful experiences to see happen. Well done.

Nicely done!

The water looks fantastic. I have never understood how to use the cloth room and dynamic clothing. I try, get angry at the program, then give up . :)_

Nice use of the dynamic shirt, and I like the slightly sad mood !

Wish I were there! When I render a scene, I constantly save it as a jpeg. Right now I’m working on a scene. I keep making changes that make it worse. The last jpeg is often the best. Great job!

Beautiful scene, gorgeous subject! Bravo on all your hard work, I'm sorry you experienced "hiccups" with Poser, but the end result is awesome! I hope something nice happens and he ends up smiling!

You put a lot of hard work into this scene, but it sure paid off! This looks like a pleasant & relaxing place to be, but what a shame he is so sad!

Unfortunately, I know nothing about Poser, but I think the end result of your work looks wonderful. I wish I had a lake to sit by.
