Cool capture! But I think that ghost town is Rhyolite, Nevada, not California.

The art of re-purposing... It made a home for someone long ago. Great find and photo, Richard.

we have huuuuuge railyards here in Chicago, but I've not been able to get permission to go rummaging through them...yet there are old cars and cabooses that go back a long, long time, and your shot reminds me of them. Except----your shot is in the bleak Nevada wilderness! What a beautiful ornery decayed thing! I love the decay, and the rich reds...And, this close, we can see the human lettering---ie, you can see the irregularities in the letters, the hand-painted look, etc. And we see that this was turned into a residence maybe? (Ala Rod?) An office? Your background is so desolate, this could just as well be on mars. Wonderful---another must-see, full size. It's like an old rusty dilpidated codger, sitting in the middle of nowhere, and saying "I ain't movin' no matter who objects..." A real beauty, Richard.
