Description
In the memory of Frank Thorne who died one year ago aged 90. He was THE illustrator of Red Sonja (now (c) Dynamite).
Incidentally, I tripped over the chainmail texture and (since the last Red Sonja freebie by mdbruffy is more than a decade old and isn't even listed on miraheze) tried to make a demo with only freebies. My Vampirella needs a new plaything after all :-) Now if only (say) terrymcg could improve on my demo...(after some additional googlery) Oh, wait, he already DID Red Sonja. :-) (It's no freebie though. See his DA account for comparison to enjoy the full suckity of my feeble attempt.)
Lessons learned:
- Chainmail wear is impractical, in more ways than one :-)
- Thou shalt not use texture maps for items they weren't made for. (Accidentally, the boots came out quite OK, so I still preferred it to shoehorning V4 into P4 boots :-)
- Thou shalt not conform pauldrons that don't fit anyway. Needs most improvement.
- How do you hold a sword???
Credits:
Background: some random Wiki DLed 25 years ago, I guess :-)
Hair: Kozaburo Jessi via Wayback
Pauldron: Shukky
Gauntlet: DNA V (I think this was a limited freebie somewhen back - Shukky's would do fine either)
Bikini Combo: Standard P5
Jewelry: Mdbruffy
Knife: Gerard
Cu...I mean Scabbards, Longsword: Mdbruffy
Boots: Safari by Micah616
Chainmail Texture: Tattooedillusions
Torus: Duh :-) (Too lazy to search for a leather strap)
No idea if I must set a Nudity tag with all these chainmail holes, but I only see things with Dirty Mind engaged, so I didn't :-) Profanity joke explanation: The C word once meant scabbard (makes sense, right?), in my mother tongue German both words are still homonyms!
