I've always found night shots so much more picturesque than fully lit scenes - though I've never had too much success with my own night shots. :-)
Lovely scene though.

learned a lot from your replies, above. So you try to get higher floors so you can get better shots: That's a real photographer talking! This shot's beautiful and so like Vegas. I've never been there, but all the shots I've seen show that it has big buildings, yet it feels somehow "small". Maybe cozy? Or just concentrated. Like there's this concentration of big buildings, and then---desert. It's also surprising to see these high rises sunken in shadow as well as in light. Like the city's wide awake, yet half asleep. I guess in a town where people play all night and sleep all day, that is common. Beautiful lights and shadow, and a real potpourri of nighttime urban life...
