Two members of the wedding party are best man Turell and bridesmaid Lydia. Turell is Aram’s best friend in London, a Jamaican expat who has assisted Aram investigating cases in the Jamaican community there. He also works backstage at the theater where Aram and Hailey got engaged. Lydia is Aram’s sister. She and Hailey have felt as close as sisters almost from their first meeting. In a serious talk with her brother she told him that the time had come for him to get serious and commit himself. He proposed backstage the next evening. Turell and Lydia met for the first time at the wedding rehearsal yesterday. Aram had told Lydia about his Jamaican friend and asked her to make him feel welcome. Lydia had known about Turell from conversations and email notes and was curious to meet him. Almost immediately she understood why her brother liked him, he was one of the nicest men she had ever met. In turn, Turell felt at ease with his best friend's sister, a cute and clever country girl. The morning of the wedding with everyone dressed for the occasion, Turell was amazed at the transformation, the country girl was transformed into 'a little princess'. Emily, standing in the background has been noticing how Lydia has been looking at Turell. 'This could get interesting' she thinks.
