This looks like it came from an old museum... A wonderful image of days long gone, Bill! That was highway travel back in the day. I can still remember riding in my dad's car on roads like this.

the highway that I took to college had curbs on it with very narrow 2 lanes. no place to pull off in case of mechanical problems

I remember traveling over some of those roads in Iowa back in the 60s. My Dad bought a Winnebago camper and we drove down to the factory to pick it up! Was quite a trip! Thanks again for the comment! Greatly appreciated!
