Earth's equivalent of Halloween. It surprised everyone Tawny Steward and the baby survived the birth. This was baby number three for Tawny, and it was too sudden and laborious. After consulting with Dr. Kelowiz, an off-world scientist who had been marooned on Arrallon for decades found Angelica was tainted by energies from the river Styx. During an adventure, Dr. Kelowiz, Dylan, and Tawny fell into the river. Each was tainted by the energies. He was honestly surprised Damien, Amanda, or Chris were not affected. The good doctor smiled and proclaimed little Angelica was tainted. It seemed to be an adventure on Arrallon one takes such events as part of life. He assured Tawny and Dylan there was nothing the parents should be concerned with. He was sure how the Styx was influencing Angelica but his magically modified medical scanner showed she was also a latent psychic. Besides this, he suggested Dylan do some research into the omens surrounding her birth. It is a just-in-case nod to both the parents. It wouldn't be the first time a Demonhunter had a hell-spawn as a child. The newest addition to the Steward family was special from the day she was born. Two facts were apparent, she was startlingly beautiful for a baby, and her ashen skin tone. As she grew, her mood and behaviors worried Dylan and Tawny. They showered her with love hoping she would not give into darker thoughts. The family’s efforts did keep her involved and, for Angelica, she had a happy childhood filled with love, and family. Unfortunately, Angelica had a darker side she hid from her family. Her family’s interest in demonology and the undead were daily lessons learned to defeat the forces of evil and darkness. For her, it was a lesson in life. Her parents took her interest to the point of obsession and were viewed as favorable believing she was planning on using her talents for good. Her ideas were different, and her thoughts were difficult to hide from a family of thieves, spies, and detectives. She didn’t see the lessons taught by the family as ways to defeat the family’s hated enemies, but as a way to control them. Angst was her nickname. Chris, one of her older brothers started calling her Angst. She always seemed worried, troubled, and scared. In truth, she was not worried, troubled, or scared. She was more worried someone would find the remains of her deconstructed toys or dead animals. Angst was anything but the opposite of her nickname. She viewed life and death as toys for her to play with until her parents found and destroyed a “pet” she had summoned. Her parent’s reaction was to send her to the Legacy, a secret organization to defeat evil, for training. They hoped the structure might push her into the light. It was sort of like sending a modern child to boot camp hoping it will make them better human beings. Angst was not being sent into the world without some training. Tawny Steward, a rather famous Bard, had ensured that all her children were properly trained in the basics of life and how to find and break into things. Dylan, her father, taught his children martial arts, how to fight with blades and pistols. Angst took a liking to using staff and was a natural markswoman. Angst could also naturally focus and control magical energy. Her fetish for tattoos was never really understood by the family until they realized it was her version of a stored icon. Every time she learned a new spell, she would store the magical ingredients needed to perform the spell in a new tattoo.
