And what a darling little surprise she is! The outfit, the hair, the little hat, all the other elements... everything works so well together, including the colors! I could've stared at that jack in the box prop for a year and never come up with something half this cute :-)

I've had it sitting in my runtime for years and finally used it. ROFL!

Very lovely. I remember getting a jack in the Box as a Christmas present as soon as I saw your render. Good memories, I love it.

I remember playing with them. You'd wind it fast til you thought it was close to it popping open, then you'd go as slow as you could so it wouldn't startle you and it still would. LOL

This is great... so cute, as per your baseline! XD
As for the lighting, I can see why you found it difficult to choose. I'm torn about which is better in terms of lighting but would probably go with the addition of a fill light to the side as you did on the picture to the left which is featured. I might have dimmed the key light just a bit (I mean a LITTLE bit) so that the side lighting fill led to a bit more contrast. Or not...
The more I learn about lighting the more I understand you can drive yourself nuts (which probably goes a long way to explaining my mental state >.< ). =)

You are much better at lighting than I am. I am still learning a lot!!! Hopefully eventually it will all be just common to us and we'll just set it up first the right time no problem. LOL
