oh man, your shots of the west's landscapes, of mountains and mounds and cliff-sides and barren forestland---they're all so fine and balanced and tonally beautiful. Such oranges here! And the beiges are a pale orange more than a beige---great hues. And your shot presents this peak as a big hump poking up through the pillowy trees and bushes, like a slumbering beast that popped out of the ground to check things out. You have an innate sense for these shots, and this is yet another exquisite entry into this long and beautiful series of landscapes of the West. A perfect, balanced, beautiful capture, Richard.

Wonderful capture, I simply adore these rock formations...makes me think of wagon trains, cowboys and Indians. I can imagine exploring every nook and cranny, possibly looking for hidden gold or money from one of "The Kids" hold ups...or just exploring any reason...I looked at the other images you have like this and they are all beautiful! trouble is from rattle snakes. there are so many. My cousin and his wife live on a mountain in New Mexico. they sent their dogs to rattle snake school after they had been bitten several times. it cost a small fortune to get anti-venom
