"You might say I'm a dreamer"
I have loved photography since I was a child and also love graphic art (I am the kind of person that WILL buy a book or CD for its cover) but sadly I only became aware of 3D art after crossing paths with Dragonluna. I immediately fell in love with her work and after a while decided to give it try, mostly because I wanted to make pics to go along with a fanfic I was writing. I am neither a writer nor a 3D artist, I just like to daydream and have ideas and fantasies, and I love anything that has to do with visual art. I am still very limited with the program and have loads to learn and I am also quite fearful of posting my pics considering the high quality of the renders on this site, but I guess we all have to start somewhere and this is where I start, sharing my fantasies with you. Thank you for the taking the time to look at my work. :)

I wrote a longer comment on the grayscale version, but in this version I really like the color of her shirt and how it brings out the green in her eyes! I also notice the jewelry more in this version, and it looks very natural and well-suited to her. The background looks like a garden, perhaps, but I still think her expression probably has more to do with humans (or a dog!) than, say, a tree that just burst out in pretty blossoms! Such a lovely set of portraits!

Again, thank you Amy, I really appreciate and enjoy reading your thoughts. The details you mentioned are the very ones that prompted me to post the color image too. When dressing her I used my own mother, grandmother, and even an old neighbor as inspiration. I really wanted to put a handkerchief on her head like the elderly Italian women used to wear but the only headscarfs I could find weren't exactly the right thing. I will keep looking though for next time! :)

She just finished chopping onions... she found her missing tooth... she found out she's pregnant... she was blind and now she can see.
Beautiful portrait, my friend... I really love her eyes!
RubyTuesday70
hahahahaha, I really love your hypothesesisies!!! :D The wheeks in my head are already churning, lol!
Thank you very much TwiztidK, really appreciate it!

Thank you!

Very nice renders. I would have to say something to do with expecting grandchildren on the way.
RubyTuesday70
Thank you, my friend! Grandchildren are indeed involved, hopefully soon I can make the full render!

Even if the BW version could be a photo taken when she was young...I prefer this version which, IMHO, is perfect.
RubyTuesday70
Thank you gaius! I think my preference for the B&W stems mainly from the fact that the idea was born that way. I never planned on also posting a color image when I started working on the image, but I don't think I expected to like the color version as much as I did in the end either, which led to me posting both.

Both versions are beautiful images. Certainly the black and white version makes her eyes stand out. I thought so.
RubyTuesday70
Thank you so much elleque! I think her eyes do stand out more in the B&W (despite not being able to see that pretty green), and I also think her expression in general has a lot more impact in the B&W. When I look at them separately I like them both in the same way, but if aI look at them side by side the B&W stands out so much more to me.

She got some unexpected good news? A new grandchild or great grandchild? So refreshing to see renders that aren't of 20 somethings. Well done!

I like variety, which means all ages, shapes and sizes lol! I would get bored making renders of perfect, pretty young people all the time. Also like various genres so I can easily jump from a modern day setting to cute fluffy bunnies to fantasy (which I haven't done in a while, but I know one of these days I will). Also I find old people so fascinating to photograph (and render). Their faces tell so many stories.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Working on another render of C. Rabbit which I will hopefully be able to finish by tomorrow!

Hmm. This is almost an entirely different image with the addition of color! I'm still thinking along the lines of grandchild for the first time.... =)

Isn't it? I was just writing that in a previous comment. If I look at them side by side they just give me different vibes. Thank you for stopping by Mollz!

Fenomenal and joyful indeed... Pepe thinks she is so happy because she got extra chicken in her dish, I think he is totally full of it so I will go with this: Senile Santa finally remembered her name!
Hey, we both tried, we failed miserably, but at least we tried! LOL
RubyTuesday70
Hahahaha!! I love the original ideas some of you are coming up with. :D But hey, who knows, maybe you are right? (and tell Pepe to stop thinking about food all the time, hee hee!) In any case, so glad you like them, thank you!

This is beautiful portrait work! Personally, I think she is seeing someone she thought was lost but has come home and alive!
