Noticed Stonemason's Willow Creek on sale last month for $3.99! He was kind enough to provide object files so saved me a lot of time converting to Poser. But, seriously, Stonemason for $3.99???????? Who can pass THAT up?

Nice job with this amazing set! I nabbed it on sale too. I had it on my wishlist, along with several others by Stonemason, mostly as inspiration for ways to piece together my own forest scenes, but I also figured if the price ever went low enough, I'd go through the hassle of converting the set for Poser. Turned out to be surprisingly easy! I actually tried the OBJs first, but they came in at varying sizes and locations, so after the first five or six (out of many), I gave up on that approach and instead exported the whole set out of DS in FBX format. It imported into Poser with everything the right scale, in the right place, and all maps attached! The only thing missing was specular settings on each item, which is something I'm used to fixing on many sets. Of course you have to duplicate some items to make up for the lack of instancing, but that's easy enough. And, as your render shows, it's definitely worth it, as Stonemason does some awesome woodlands sets! I'd love to sit right where LF is sitting and enjoy the peace and quiet :-)

I used his original objects by just importing them, but they were sized incorrectly.
However, I just set them at 1.25% of original size on the import screen and they all came in beautifully and in the correct place in the scene. Except for one single stump which he had exported as a prop in the object, so I had to figure out where to place just that one.
I'm use to loading textures onto conversions so that didn't take me long at all...except for all the twigs with diffuse, translucent, bump and normal maps, on twigs I can't even find in the scene. LOL.
Yeah, I could really soak up some of the peace and quiet myself today.
Thanks for your comments.

Well you and Perpetualrevision sound like you know way about how to do things in Poser than I do. Beautiful setting

LOL, what's that old saying......necessity is the mother of invention? Sometimes there's just no other way than to figure out some way around a barrier.
Thanks.
