Description
“She ain’t for sale, yer hawked piece of gob spittle. If she were she’d have a sign round her neck wouldn’t she?
See a sign? No! Neither do I. So move on!
Out of our way I said, else Orick Sawbones back there’ll cut yer down to size.
Three camels and a goat yer say? You taking the piss? Even this fat, ugly, cow cost more than that. Got ‘er from no less an orc than Eldrin the Bald for six camels and four goats.
Can’t say as how I sees ten camels and eight goats tagging at yer heel.
A gold torc, yer say… hmm, what say you Orick? Shall we gives him this pale-faced, whining, whinging, grub for a gold torc? Orick is shaking his head, mate, that means no.
You’ll thrown in two daggers with jewelled hilts. Hmm. Sounds like yer’ve got yer sel’ a deal, yer ugly scum bucket. Hand over the torc and daggers and be on yer way, you too yer moon-faced bitch.”
The hunter smiled, removed his gold torc and casually cast it up in the air towards the grumpy goblin.
As two greedy faces snapped upwards and hands made ready, a dagger sank into each throat.
“And two daggers; consider yourselves paid in full,” said the hunter.
“You tricked them,” said the woman, her voice unusually cultured and tinged with an air of command.
“They should have said how they wanted their daggers handed over. Like making a wish, my lady, wording is important,” smiled the hunter, “and to be fair, I did say I’d throw them in.”

Great story and I adore the scene and lighting. :)

I looked at the image first, as anyone does, and was hooked. Then I read the text for the story and was rewarded with a character whose point of view is the picture as he bargains with the goblins. All of that is a lot of fun, thank you for the entertainment and the wonderfully executed image! =)

Wonderful work!!!

Well, I'm so glad he made short work of those two butt-ugly fellows - and kept this lovely lady safely away from them. Excellent work on both the scene and the story.
