I've been doing art for a long time. I use to do my work using an airbrush and standard paint brushes, but now use only the computer. I have a MFA degree in painting, but make my living doing graphic design. The work that I do using the computer, looks almost the same as the work I use to do using an airbrush. I've now use AI images to start with and fix and modify them. Except for the ability to create an image a whole lot faster, all that has changed is the clean-up. "click".

This is lovely work!

Gorgeous colours and great composition; a most eye-catching scene. The lighting on the face and the direction of the cast shadows seem at bit odds with each other though.

Yes, the natural light is coming from something behind her. That is why she is looking back. I also needed to have her show up more, so she didn't fade into the background. Good catch though.

If you've not tried it, there's a handy set by Fabiana called "Theory of light: Heavens" that allows your figure to "wear" a hair backlight and face fill spot, so that they stay in the correct relative position even if you repose the figure; I've used it myself in tricky light, including this same HDR, with some success.

Thanks, I'll see if I have it. I really like her work.
