What a pleasant place to take a walk & I love the idea of it being on a space station! Aikobot2 and Rex are perfect together! I can feel the connection between them!

Thanks! It's odd that I managed to get decent sunlight in a place where there wouldn't be "real" sunlight, but I still can't get it right in an outdoor natural setting! I'd love to walk along a promenade like this one and enjoy all the fish. Good thing you can't tell where one of the fish "escaped" and I had to Photoshop him out of existence :-)

I haven't seen any robot dog commercials, but then, I rarely see commercials as I usually only watch TV via Netflix or Amazon Prime. But if it looks kinda like Rex and is nifty enough that you want one, then I probably want one too!! (Just don't tell the three fur balls curled up beside me ;-)

Thanks! I don't know why I can get bright sunlight in an interior setting like this, and not in an outdoor setting, but oh well! The metals on Aikobot2 render pretty well for Firefly, maybe b/c they seem to follow a setup I've seen recommended by BagginsBill that uses a fresnel_blend node in addition to the reflect node. I guess that makes the metal more "accurate" for Firefly, for reasons I've taken notes on but can't fully process. (I think there's math involved!) Regardless, I like how it turns out and look forward to using Aikobot2 in some of her other color combos!

So is this kind of like in 'The Orville', where all the 'organics' have been exterminated and the bots rule? Excellent work on this fine image! Love all the fine details! Many fine kudos from me!

Given my penchant for making friendly things, even bots, I suspect the humans are still around there somewhere. But the bots are free to take in the simulated sunshine when they feel so inclined!

Thanks! I have a TON of sci-fi prop sets I'd really like to use, but I'm not that good at coming up with characters or stories for them, so you might end up seeing Aikobot2 and Rex exploring other spaceships :-) Or maybe I'll find a spacesuit for Tiny!

Thank you, A_Sunbeam! I suspect Rex doesn't get into as much trouble as Chomper does in your scenes, but of course it's the trouble that makes Chomper so fun :-)

Thanks so much! I have a ton of sci-fi prop sets I'd love to use, but I'm kinda stuck on coming up with characters and stories for them, so I may not always end up with "warm fuzzy" scenes. But any scene with Rex the robot dog is bound to elicit a few "awwwws" :-) I do have other androids and other robots, even other robot dogs, but none match so well as these two!

This turned out really well! Love the idea behind this scene. Maybe at the end of the walk robs dog gets lubrication rather than goodies?

Thank you! Good idea for an end of walk treat: sit up nicely and get a few squirts of oil! My non-robot dogs would be on board with that idea, but only if it's fish oil :-)

Thank you!! Orange and this shade of blue aren't usually among my "go to" colors, but I thought they looked so nice on Aikobot2 I put them on Rex also! Because every bot person should have a matching bot dog :-)

Composition and execution is excellent, Amy! Of course, I am a fan of Science Fiction and I love a good Robotrix; Aikobot 2 is a lot of fun and now you've got me thinking about using her in one of my crazy stories. XD

Thank you, Molly! I'm particularly pleased with how both figures render in Firefly, probably in large part b/c the materials use fresnel nodes as well as reflect nodes, to improve the accuracy. But I'm sure they'd look even better optimized for Superfly!

I wish I had your talent for coming up with stories to carry forward into future renders, but I generally don't come up with an idea for what's happening until after I've assembled a scene! And when I tried to write a story first, I spent nearly two years on the rough draft, so that's not a particularly effective use of my time :-)

This new image looks fantastic once again! It's great to see the futuristic promenade again, I used it once and it's not easy to handle, you did really a great job here!

Thanks so much for the comment, Ute! I found the promenade pretty easy to use, but for this scene it was pretty simple: just two curved hallway pieces and the fish in the tanks. One of the fish did try to "escape" out of a tank, but I Photoshopped him out of existence :-)
