Either those designers had a huge and solid hope for the future, or they were mere aliens with a great taste for beauty.
Most modern wheels look almost the same, like biscuits with not too many flavours.
Old cars were more like people, something peculiar that felt alive. Modern ones look more like time, current second feels like the previous one. Nothing to enjoy. Gray bricks, way too many. A handfull might look different. Untill they find themselves to a car; then it becomes so obvious it's another brick.

The original is very large, and it captures the silky reflections on the chrome. This thing glows, and the mix of cream color with that rust-colored brown is luscious. A very sensuous shot, Richard. I really like mifdesign's comment...
