Ah... I'm thinking the title of the image is a reference to the older model here posed as in "Flaming June" but in the Autumn of her life. I like it a lot and really enjoyed viewing it. Your touch on older people is really good (as an older person myself). =)

Thank you for sharing, I certainly enjoyed viewiing!

Flaming June is probably one of my all time favourite paintings from that time period. As a kid, my mum and i would of visit many art galleries, so of course, there are other paintings that i adore as well, but still... June just captures something so ephemeral. I love when people are inspired by known artworks, but what i honestly and truly appreciate is NOT when one essentially copies the inspiration - instead, what captivates is when someone infuses a part of themselves into the image, altering it a bit to show there really was inspiration rather than it having been just an exercise in mimicry.

Love how you've aged just not her, but the whole concept through your desaturated palette and the warmth of the glow fading away to the side, as if the light is now running away from her, leaving... the more i look at this, the more powerful it is striking me - and to be fair, it is striking me harder than the original painting, leaving me with a rather complex set of emotions...

thank you for infusing this with thought and empathy - it really comes through - absolutely wonderfully done all the way around [did i mention the nice posing, too?].

just w-o-w

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I consider that going to meet a work of art is like walking in the forest. At first, it's a little scary, you can't see well in the darkness of the forest, then your eyes get used to it, you can see a certain clarity, and your body gradually awakens to everything that gives life to this forest. Sometimes our progress brings us to a clearing, guided by a call of light. In this clearing, there may, as in the tales, be a small cottage, modest in appearance, but with smoke coming out of its chimney. our heart then beats stronger, divided between fear and curiosity of what we are going to find there: an encounter that will tell us something about ourselves, while sharing the legend of the forest with us. Sometimes, I am happy that my images leave this impression to those who want to walk there.
