Description
The SubCommander stared silently at the view screen for a moment.
"Target is attempting to flee." He reported evenly with a glance at his commanding officer. "Your orders, Prime?"
She leaned back into her command chair, holding the steaming cup ready to take another sip. A slow smile spread across her lips.
"Match speed and heading. Remained cloaked." She finally responded. "Let's allow them to think they are getting away for a while." She took a sip from the cup; keeping her eyes fixed on the monitor and the vessel directly ahead of them. "I find this rather amusing." She stared down into the steaming contents of the cup. The sweet aroma of hot chocolate drifted through the air. "To think." She paused for a moment as distant memories were recalled within her mental relays. "It was we who gave them the knowledge of chocolate long ago. So much we taught and shared with them." She hesitated for a moment. "As we did with so many others." Her expression slowly turned grim. "But the humans wanted more; and they were willing to take what they wanted by force and violence." She drew a deep breath. "The Talons of Vengeance have come for them."
"Yes, Prime." The Subcommander acknowledged her statements.
She again smiled. "Let's give them time to think they have evaded us."
