An old Scottish custom is that the first person to visit on the new year sets your fortue for the rest of the year. The best is a handsome man, either dark or blond, bearing a gift.

Yeah, we have that in the north of England too - but here it has to be a dark man, who brings a lump of coal and some other stuff with him - not too clear about that, being a redhead I don't get asked much :D Really nice face, Jim, I'm gonna have another go at downloading that hair now I've seen it.
