Look like Utah (billions years ago) was a piece of Theia

I'm skipping, RIchard, only to get a fair sampling of your work, since I show up on the site only once in several days...all your work is worth my time, though (and i see every upload)...This is a great ultra red, deep soil capture of the Utah desert, and I love how the hues change as one goes over the image. Beautiful layers in this; and, full size, we get the huge sweep of this beautiful landscape.

Wonderful shot of this Utah landscape, Richard. We passed through Utah in 2019 when we went to Washington. I was amazed at how much red soil there is there.

Sorry I'm a day late: My covid booster knocked me out. But to continue from last night...
You captured the deep reds, the deep rust reds of this amazing landscape. And you got a beautiful sweep too---and a soft one too. I've seen that many times in your work: a combo of detail with a softness more often seen in film than in digital. It gives a kind of "embrace" to your images. It feels generous, which is a feature in so much of your photography. That you're generous with your view...
Striking greens here too. Almost olive greens, which really stand out against all this rust brown/ red. Beautiful.
