I got idea for doing an old west image from listening to song "Short Change Hero" by The Heavy. So I decided to do image which happens in the past of the world my characters live in. Which implies that have special abilities is something that has been occurring for generations. Jericho Taylor only has daughter Gertrude after losing his wife Gloria to pneumonia. Jericho recently discovered he can channel some form of energy like lightning when a grizzly tried to attack little Gertrude. Word of his powers spread around until it reached the ears of one lone outlaw known only as Cooper. Cooper was a clever gunsmith and amateur inventor and sought to test his wits, guns and gadgets against this "Lighting Man"
Crackling electricity forms around Jericho's left hand as Gertrude clutches his right hand
Jericho: Gertrude go on girl get to cover I'll take care of this varmint.
Gertrude: But paw I've heard tell of this one you need to be careful.
Cooper spins the barrel of his custom pistol as he glares in the direction at the Taylor family
Cooper: Don't you fret none "Lightning Man" I don't plan to harm the girl. But you on the other hand well I reckon you know why I'm here.
Jericho: Just another odd stick with a fancy shooting iron thinks he can best me.
Cooper: Guilty as charged

Hey this is good stuff. Enhanced humans back in the west. Reminds me of that movie Aliens and cowboys, great story that is very believable. This should make for a good movie script.

Thank you so much. I have to admit that the film did come to mind while working on this. I could even incorporate some steampunk elements in terms of gadgets and weaponry.

Happy you liked this idea anniemation. Originally I was going to use crows or buzzards but using the peeps seemed way more fun and creative. 🐥

Hey thanks uncollared. I actually had a little trouble with the lighting at first. Glad I could get the old western vibe in the image.

The Peeps sure do bring little spots of joyful color to a Western-themed scene! I hope Jericho holds his own against Cooper! I'm guessing that all those gadgets are probably made of metal, and we know what lightning can do to metal :-)

Yes, the Peeps definitely stand out in a good way. Historical records may be spotty at best, but I reckon things didn't go Cooper's way. 🤠

A really good idea that is executed effectively! I particularly like the Jericho's angry posture as he "charges up". Of course, being who I am, I can't help wondering what all those peeps are up to! =)

Molly I'm glad you like the elements in this image but I'm also glad someone finally questioned the motivation of the peeps. I've always been a little paranoid of birds since I saw "The Birds" as a kid. 🐥🐤

Thanks RodS! The lighting took a little trial and error, but a Photoshop filter really helped get more out of the initial render.
