Description

NOTE: I'm testing out new functionality here in the gallery. Please note the scroll bar and see BOTH images. Posting separate panels requires readers to scroll one at a time to open and enlarge each one separately - tedious and annoying - so I'm posting only my new standard "Girl from A.U.N.T." book-cover thumbnail (which normally appears only in the gallery) followed by the usual single, vertical comic-strip image. Hopefully Rendo will incorporate the same functionality as the product pages that let you scroll enlarged images by clicking a right or left arrow. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Annette set the sniffer aside and has been successfully coached through disarming the bomb by Ranpha who is 8 states away. That leaves less than a minute to at least get it outside of the building. As if that were not enough pressure, she is discovered handling an IED inside the Whitehouse. HANG ON A MINUTE! Is that a red pin visible on his lapel when he turns to run with the bomb? Doesn't that mean he is Secret Service? Isn't he supposed to protect the President? WAIT! Doesn't he look like the big Agent who spun on his heel and left while the others were discussing Annette's legs back in episode 32? Could he be one of the moles Miho was worried about? And just how is killing Biden supposed to save Russia? Last time I checked, attacking the U.S. was a good way to get your entire country's @$$ kicked! Whatever. With the clock running, she has an explosive and a hostile adversary to deal with! What options does Annette have? What does the hostile really want? What does he mean by saving Russia? Will he go after the bomb or deal with Annette? Tune in next episode when we'll hear a very loud "БУМ!" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This story begins here. The next episode is here. RodS' serial, Breitlenger Jar, can be found here.

He has no idea........ This little lady had him outwitted from the get-go!

Great job on the page, Jim! I really like the floor-level angle in the last panel - it really adds drama to the already intense situation. Good stuff, sir!

I like the new functionality with multiple images. Not sure I'll use it for TNA, but likely for some other things I have planned.

Thanks! I posed Boris and Annette and figured where the bomb would go and got them all set the way I thought they should end up (with consideration to making Annette look as good as possible) given what was going on, then I started panning around the scene looking for the most compelling shots. I had three I was debating, but in the end I needed to show the bomb in flight, I needed to show Boris mid-fall, and I needed Annette's face. That left this one which I finally was happy with after screwing with the exact camera position for a couple hours. We artists can be so particular...

As for the new multiple image functionality. I'm not sure I'm happy with it, but I fear my links that go directly to the next story cause readers to miss my book cover thumbnails. This change in format may not be worth it, but I'll wait for more feedback. What would make it very good is if they put the same picture scrolling functionality here as they do on the product pages, click one image and it superimposes and expands, then you scroll through them by clicking a right or left arrow. Each individual image would change from full size to fit-the-screen size by clicking on the picture, click and hold to drag the full-size image around. Maybe some day...

You'd figure that A.U.N.T. and T.N.A. would supply their agents with multi-tools of some kind.

Thank you for reading my story and thank you for being an attentive and intelligent critic! I am sincerely grateful to know folks like you enjoy my work!

Yes, you would think they'd provide a minimum level of equipment - I agree. Diemamker, RodS and I all discussed this ahead of time - this being Annette's first mission, they sent her on what they assumed (bad idea) was a milk run. No one thought there was anything to this threat, so they used it to test her on her information security protocols and her ability to operate with other agencies. The fact there was something to it was a shock to all parties.

Here's a little secret I'm not supposed to tell you. This incident prompts Ranpha to create a multi-tool kit disguised at a manicure set - perfect for female operatives. It will contain nail clippers capable of cutting case hardened steel without deforming, an equally capable nail file, and who knows what all else we can figure out how to conceal inside manicure kits, lipsticks, and other ubiquitous female accessories. Consider the nail-file is non-conductive and can resist even 1,000 volts or 750 degrees Fahrenheit if needed! Just wait until you see what she designs into sunglasses!

In case you are wondering; yes, this incident goes a long way to clearing up the doubts of even the worst agency skeptics.

Please excuse me, it's time for me to check out your gallery!

Excellent job you did here! I specially liked how you put the second panel together. very nicely done. I like that you used the shove I suggested but adding the foot hook... sweet! and that last panel's POV came out great! now I can't wait for the next one!

Thanks for appreciating the rework of panel 2, that foot-hook, and the perspective of panel 5! Panels 4 and 5 felt like inspirations when I produced them.

I'm working out the storyboards for it at the moment. I want to make sure I take the story in the right direction. With less than a minute to go and with much of that already used up thanks to Annette not just letting him go scott-free, I have to make the next page contiguous while letting Boris escape but without having Annette too close on his heels. Therein lies the challenge.
