wow...because of the bright greens (doused in yellows) surrounding this mallard, the mallard looks like it's part of a painting. The shadow on the duck, as well as the contrasts in its feathers, makes it look like it was painted in 'splotches' by Cezanne or Van Gogh. I love the segmented feel of this image. Very bright but with lots of contrast. The high exposure feeling (whether you used actual high exposure or not) makes this jump off the page. Love it.
