As a boy I wandered field and mountain, desert and ocean, forest and the icy reaches at the top and bottom of our world, and each place I found was another mystery waiting for me to discover. One day I found a silver doorway set into the side of a tall mountain. There were such detailed carvings of moons and planets and stars and all those things beyond our own small planet that I pulled the door open without hesitation, and within was the infinite apeirogon. I traveled the apeirogon on the back of a moonbeam I had rescued from the Land of Shadows. In time, I came to the Crystal Universe, and there I live to this day, writing of all I have seen.

Wonderfully engaging; there is so much folklore and myth surrounding the humble apple, it makes for a fascinating implied narrative.

forgive me for being late to this, Bob, I've been behind with everyone lately. But it's a mysterious and haunting image...I was looking for text, lol, but realized it's a lone image! I love that plant, near-center, with its mysterious flat petals and burst at top---it feels more like an apparition than what we'd normally call a plant. Maybe it's from another world, another galaxy's "bouquet" or gift...the two children are doused in your oft-used chiaroscuro, gracing them in gentle mystery...and the child with the apple has a slight, slight smile, indicating that she/he is presenting a quiet myster to the other child. Of course Adam and Eve comes to mind, but this apple doesn't portend evil as the Genesis narrative so blatantly (and irritatingly and clumsily, to my mind) does...this has an air of a sacred transfer. Like so many of your images, very sweet with quiet mystery and privacy---you capture privacy extremely well in many of your images...I hope you're well, and having little or no effect from your illness. (Hope you can smell and taste and breathe well, among other things)...hard to believe that just some weeks ago you were hospitalized. I hope you continue to get and stay healthy...gentle beautiful image.

If it doesn't have my Wolf Tales Scifi Magazine cover, it won't have a story. Thanks for the wonderful comment. The plant in the center was a happy accident. First I loaded a candlestick, then I wanted a plant. So, I searched my content library for plants, and clicked on the first one I found, and for some reason, the plant wrapped itself around the candlestick. I was like, hmm...how did that happen, but looks good, so I rolled with it.
