The air was not clean.
Jeffy was too hungry to play.
So he bickered around
On this cold, dreary day.
He stood on the street,
He stood there alone.
And he moaned, "How I wish"
I had something
Something like a melon!"
So all he could do was to
Listen to his tummy
Growl!
Growl!
Growl!
Growl!
And he did not like it.
And he screamed words most foul!
"Oh, I know where to go,
Where the sun is always sunny,
And where food is a-plenty...
And that is so funny!"
"Cousin Johnny has plenty,
He lives near green fields,
I'll check out his larder
And see what it yields!"
