a magical piece for another terrific artist and friend, Steve. I love the open, almost empty feeling in the back-portion of a big city. I love how the two women are dressed---great colors---the brunette has great purple and greens! A radiating combination! (And your hair was that color? Well mine was a rich brown, but now it's so silver I could pass for a coin!) I love the pink and blue suitcases. And I see a cab driver is approaching. (Steve asked if that was him, lol. I'm sure he'd be happy to approach these women.) You have a real feel for urban-night images, and you capture their 'truth' too. I have stood in many places like this, in big cities: open, abandoned, strangely peaceful, with a huge city off to the side. It almost has a 1950s feel. (I mean, that's an old taxi, lol! That car is from the 40s!) Another masterful piece from you, Ute.
