Description

Not really art... this was the result of one Andrew Price's Blender 3D tutorials. The project, obviously, was to make this chair. I'm kinda proud of it, partly because it turned out pretty realistic and partly because this was something I did in just a few hours and it surprised me I was able to get this result in that short amount of time. So now I'm finishing up Andrew's couch tutorial and that's turning out really well as well. Keep practicing! Oh an before anyone asks. Could I make this a Daz Studio prop? Well.... I have recently learned how to correctly export from Blender into Daz Studio and set things up in the content library and then package it all up to share. But, the chair is just over 18,000 quads (it is all quads) so I'm thinking it would have to be decimated down first. Not sure if there would be any interest.

Thank you, Andrew is a great teacher. I think probably half of everything I know about Blender I probably learned from one of his tutorials.

Hahaha! I immediately recognize, when some one did Blender gurus tutorial in Blender… I have to admit, those are some of the best and most complete Blender tutorials around. I did not do the whole chair, but I used the section about UV-Mapping, to learn how to to it.

Awesome result of yours!!

Thank you. I kind of surprised myself with the result, had never done anything that realistic. I'm working on finishing up Andrew's couch tutorial... that one is clocking in at a hefty 430,000 polys!
