Wow! We could talk lighting or composition or modelling -- all of which are just beautiful. But, the thing I find most striking is the tiny reflections of the room behind in the flat metal and -- especially -- in the white glass. Just amazing.

faint I can only hope to get this good. Another one of those images where you have to wonder if it's a photo.

Amazing! I do wish there was more to the wall, such as wallpaper or something

Photo-realistic! Who in Hades gave you a 9? 10!

Thanks for the positive feedback gang, i'm blown away at your responses, I used the catmull-rom algorithm in the anti-aliasing section of the render dialog.

very photo realistic!!! as though it were rendered in lightscape!!!! :)
Andy M
Thanks pureflesh, although i do use Lightscape now and then, this was strictly a MAX 3.1 Scanline render, with no 3rd party plugins, just some well placed lights.

good lighting and mesh.

i dont think the reflection on the lamp is right...it looks pinched, and i think it should have more gloss and brighter reflections.

Love the simplicity yet very best skill this image.
