There are probably a bunch of stuff you would eventually like to change-- may I suggest the first be to get rid of that horrid grey default background. You can make the bckgrnd any color or render over black to a tiff and have an alpha channel to float your pic over any photo background of your choice. Neat, huh? One other thing, you might want to play with the default camra focus, it's always too darn narrow. for closeups I use 100mm-- first dial when you select a camera. Welcome to an addictive hobby.

I'll agree with the above comment, and welcome you to Renderosity. You'll either love it or hate it here. I personally love it. ;)

I'll agree with queri on the cameras. I think it may even have been her that guided me to set them to between 100 and 175 depending on what I was doing... You should also try incorporating a bump channel into it. It would give the flesh a touch of "pores" so to speak. It's better than my first render was!

also, as a note i assume you didnt use this because you dont have it, the default eyes look like paper cut outs try and get some good eyes, like 'real eyes' by DAZ or something similar, and also eye lashes (unless you have them and didnt want on her in this pic), and also eyebrows... , on a good note i like the face structure and the overall look of her very original facial structure, im sure you'll catch on fast :)

This is a cute concept for the first try. I would suggest going to the free stuff section here at rosity and looking for some nice free p4 woman textures, clothing, hair etc first off. Other advice is to read all the tutorials you can find on things like lighting, posing, transmapping etc... the more you know the better your renders will become. Happy Rendering.
