Description
After Vera Molnar.
I wanted to capture the threadbare theme of the pin-up. This time, these women are taking their ascent into their own hands to escape, with more or less success, from the male gaze. The characterization of each is to be placed in relation to the image of the mountain borrowed from the history of art. This mountain, which is difficult to reach, at least by sight, is that of the place that men have granted themselves. At the turn of these 10 images, I give the female characters different postures, between insurance and endangerment, thus testifying that their reconquest of spaces is still today, a risk-taking.

I love that your climber now wears athletic clothing that is printed in a manner not unlike the images of Vera Molnar. That she is a woman of color perhaps acknowledges the additional burden these women have to overcome beside their gender. This has been a most enjoyable series for me and I always look forward to what your creative mind comes up with next! Thank you so much for sharing, my dear! <3

the climber is a person of color, because I wanted to celebrate all kinds of women, including women artists through the latest paintings.

This is probably my favourite of the series; technically the posing/pov and textures are excellent, but also the modern conceptualisation with the athletic clothing and the mountain reduced to an abstraction of line, both elegant and ambiguous

Thank you very much, Joe
