Description
"It's a slip knot, Squeaker. Just tug the loose end once you've gotten within the Iron Golem's thorax. Then you'd best beat a hasty retreat as the creature is petrified!" the cat girl admonished.
"Worry not, fair feline, I did not acquire the status of noble by foolishly lingering in harm's way!" the little rodent replied.
"We'll wait a few ticks an' in we'll barge. Straight ter th' shinies we go! That'll bring out th' Golem! Yer got ter stuff that scroll in ter th' beastie's chest right smart or we're goners, Rat. In that event plan ter be ha'nted by me most disappointed spirit!" Jorl waved his sword to demonstrate his seriousness.
"Worry not, brave warrior!" Sir Squeaker said. "I will fulfill my part of the bargain and enjoy our next meal bought with the proceeds from this carefully planned enterprise!" The little rodent was surprisingly confident and turned to enter the open door of the ancient Royal Crypt.
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.757 with Superfly Cycles 2 and tweaked in Photoshop for a bit of glow (spectral bloom) and vignette. The Catgirl is based on A3, the Dwarf is a stand alone figure by Sixus1 and Sir Squeaker is part of a bundle from Poser Software. The setting is from "The Dungeon" by Sveva and LukeA.

Cute scene, though the high contrast lighting doesn't seem to go with the genre.

Thanks for your candid comment, Mazzam. I do have trouble with this business of night time scene lighting and it's kind of a WIP. =)

You make Sir Squeaker look (and sound) so cute! I think the lighting works great for Jori and the cat girl, given their torches, but perhaps Sir Squeaker should've had a tiny torch of his own to account for his lighting? I can almost hear the music that foretells the start of a dangerous endeavor!

I might have overdone the lighting on Sir Squeaker; it's part of my ongoing journey with learning how to light a night time scene convincingly. I'm delighted with your overall response to the story and Squeaker's obvious competence and willingness to take risk in support of the enterprise. =)

Nice work! The light seems fine to me, (did you see how bright Gandalf's staff glowed in the mines?) Good luck to Sir Squeaker, I hope their plan works. Food is always a good reward.
