What an awesome capture! I love ducks, well you know I am just critter crazy :) but the beautiful mallard reminded me of my mother, she was duck crazy! Anyway I just love this image, great work Richard!!!

like a mallard shot I commented on yesterday, you have this segmented treatment of leaves, rocks and birds, which acts like an abstract backing for the birds. This is a half-abstract image, where the birds seem painted into this scene. Bleached light too, making their darker hues stand out. A burst of a shot.
