Description

Chomper: Nope. The SSD began to fail and today it more or less gave up, so the iMac goes off for a replacement (under guarantee, just as well!) And I wasn't anywhere near, see! Too true - Smart check reported a problem, and DriveDx confirmed it - many bad patches and some lost files. Closing down for a while but will return when I get one of the older machines warmed up again ... (both well over twelve years old).

No matter what he says, I'm pretty sure it's always Chomper's fault :-) Sorry to hear about the SSD going bad, but hopefully you can recover most of your files!

It's never Chomper's fault....wait it's not his fault? Excellent image. Sorry about the SSD, I try to clone the drive every coupe of years to keep it fresh.

Delighful composition, superb render. Hopefully it's not the SSD controller, otherwise it must be replaced and try to recover the data afterwards. If the SSD will be replaced with an identical one, I would recommend to keep an eye on the temperatures in the case and the SSD's temps as well. If they run hot, you'd better back-up your data regularly.
