Description
You probably know the Frank Frazetta painting I was trying to recreate in 3D. Well, I was not successful and had to change direction quite a bit to come up with something that looks more or less acceptable. While most objects in the scene rendered better with FireFly I had to render the head of the grizzly bear (from DAZ3D) with SuperFly for a decent look of the fur. Affinity Photo was used to combine the renders and for contrast adjustments. All rocks used are from CGTrader, shrubs from RDNA Shrublands. As always thanks for viewing!

I couldn't find a Frank Frazetta painting called Cave Dweller, so I don't know which one was your inspiration, but this is pretty cool! I love the character, and the bear looks awesomely fierce and fuzzy! I would never guess that this is a composite of two renders!

Thank you very much! The original Frazetta painting is called „Sun Goddess“ if I remember correctly. My render displays a rather shadowy place in a forest because I was not able to achieve a plausible integration of foreground and background without adding additional objects. That’s not unusual, most of my projects end up to look different then intended.

Fine image. The component blend seamlessly.

Thank you very much!

I like the fur of the bear. Looks so well. Is that post work?
gerberc
No, the fur is rendered. Only postwork is inserting the head of the bear rendered in SuperFly into the FireFly render and some contrast adjustments. And thank you very much!
Gisela
OK Thank you.
