Description
Just as in gym class (as depicted in another picture in my gallery), Nadia is finding things a little difficult in maths lessons, too, being shouted at by teachers who simply cannot understand why she is having trouble grasping what they consider to be simple concepts.
She has her friend, Leigh-Anne, to offer support, however, so all is not so bleak for this little 11-year-old.

Thanks! It was a fun one to do.

Poor Nadia! Math can be pretty scary, but that teacher is downright frightening! I'm glad she has Leigh-Anne, but I hope some of the adults in her world get a clue :-)

Yes, but for some young people, school is not the idyllic place it ought to be, and they simply don't always enjoy it. But St Tibb's does encourage making at least one good friend to help through the difficult phases everyone experiences at that age.

Cute classroom scene very well posed. Math looks to be a mixture of algebra and trigonometry.

Thank you! Algebra plays an essential role in almost all branches of mathematics. In this case, it's Pythagoras's thereom, which is pretty simple algebra, really.

Well, I hated school and most of my school teachers. I'm sure that partly because of the teachers I had problems with my studies. Especially when it comes to math. Children now have great opportunities to learn online through platforms like Brighterly. These teachers can offer math programs for kids and get really good results in a short amount of time, but still not discourage children from learning.
