Je m'appelle Valentyn, Luydmyla était ma promise. Nous devions nous marier bientôt. Des êtres cruels, sans scrupules, dénués d'honneur en ont décidé autrement. La guerre nous a séparés, je suis parti pour le front. En tant que pigiste Luydmyla était à bord d'un véhicule de presse. Celui-ci a été pris pour cible et a été mitraillé.
