Je m'appelle Luydmyla et Valentyn était mon fiancé. Nous devions nous marier à l'automne, mais le destin et la folie des hommes en ont décidé autrement. Il a été tué dans une sombre tranché sur la ligne de front. Comme beaucoup d'autres il est mort en héros pour défendre notre patrie. Pourquoi tous ces morts inutiles? quelle est cette malédiction qui pousse les hommes à s'entretuer? J'ai le coeur si froid, si lourd, comment pourrais-je vivre sans lui, nous étions si bien ensemble.
