When I was small, I had a tin one painted red. And that was so long ago, it was probably lead-based paint. :-D

That is a really cool pedal car. Something a kid will possibly never ride in except on special occasion with adult supervision, that is probably why there is no kid sitting it now. lol Could you imagine a kid's handprints all over it? I was photographed in a military jeep pedal car age 3 or 4 but don't have any memory of it other than the photo of me sitting in it. Great photo!
